A HARPER Adams University College student's skill with both scissors and shears will be in the spotlight on primetime UK TV next week.
Gavin Thomas John Freeborn, from Ballintra, in County Donegal, Republic of Ireland, has taken part in Channel 4's 'Faking It' programme which will hit the screens on Tuesday, November 13, 2001.
Gavin, who graduated from Harper Adams last September with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Agriculture with Agricultural Marketing, took part in the programme earlier this year.
After being filmed showing off his skills with the electric shears as he trimmed the sheep in the sheds on campus, Gavin was whisked off and trained to trim tresses of an entirely different sort.
Having switched from rural Ireland to urban London, Gavin learnt to walk the walk and talk the talk of a top, big city hair stylist but will it be enough to convince the judges, all eminent members of the hairdressing industry themselves, that he's not Faking It?
All will be revealed when Gavin takes to the airwaves on Channel 4 at 9pm next Tuesday, November 13, 2001.
