HARPER ADAMS University College in Shropshire has recently announced a set of new Entrance Awards for students joining in September 2002.
Among the many valuable awards are four scholarships that are available, exclusively, for students from the Channel Islands.
"We have a number of students from The Channel Islands with us already," comments Harper Adams Principal Professor Wynne Jones. "We have been impressed with their standard of education and general quality.
"We certainly want to encourage more students from the Channel Islands to apply to us and feel that by offering them these scholarships we will be making a positive contribution to help with their travel and living expenses."
Harper Adams is offering four separate Entrance Awards of £500 each to Channel Islanders. The money will be made available in the form of a cheque to be picked up on the first day of registration. In addition, students can also apply for one of the University College's Open Scholarships, which could add up to an extra £1,000 on to the award they receive.
Harper Adams will be present at The Careers Convention in Jersey on the 5th February and in Guernsey on the 7th February when advice and information on courses and scholarships will be available.
Harper Adams is the UK's premier, specialist University College offering degree courses in IT and Business, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Health, Agri-Food Business and Marketing as well as Countryside and Environment.
