AROUND 250 delegates are expected to attend the 2002 Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE) Business Skills Conference at Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, later today.
It is the third year of the annual conference and coincides with the nationwide launch of a membership scheme to provide help, advice and support for the UK's many female rural entrepreneurs.
Membership will have many benefits, including rural specific seminars and workshops, greater opportunities to network with other businesswomen and a preferential business loan rate from WiRE sponsors HSBC Bank.
This year's conference will offer delegates a packed programme of inspirational speakers and more practical workshops, on topics as diverse as taxation advice and image consultancy, than ever before.
The WiRE initiative is now also supported by the recently unveiled web-site, which can be found at www.wireuk.org
