A STUDENT project focusing on the UK feed sector in the wake of the Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak will be presented later this week.
Representatives of the Meat & Livestock Commission (MLC) and the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) are expected to attend the presentation of the students' findings.
Eighteen students from Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, the UK's largest specialist institution of Higher Education for the land and food-based industries, have been involved with the project.
Entitled "Foot & Mouth and the future of the UK feed sector" the project report, produced for the Bristol Corn Feed Trade Association, concentrates in particular upon the actions of the Government during the outbreak.
Students Brett Caswell, Leo Cruz and James Cookson will deliver the presentation.
