A GRADUATE of Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, has won a practical dairying award sponsored by the RADBF and by Barclays Bank.
Sarah Machin, 22, of Bangor-on-Dee, near Wrexham, received the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF)/Barclays Bank Award in September when she graduated with a BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Land and Farm Management degree.
Mr John Sumner of the RADBF attended a special ceremony, as part of Harper Adams' Graduation Day ceremony, to hand over a certificate confirming Sarah as the top dairying student at the University College.
Miss Machin received the award following a rigourous judging procedure and she will now pit her abilities against practical dairying students from other institutions for the national title.
