A STRAIGHT 'A' student at Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, has been named the winner of the 2002 Dr Norman Gill Crop Science Award.Mary-Kate Zillah Black, 22, from South Croxton, in Leicester, was named winner of the prestigious award, given annually to the best performing student on a crops management course, earlier this year.
Miss Black is currently a third year student on Harper Adams' BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Crop Management degree and has achieved an 'A' grade across the board in all modules and for both her written work and her employability whilst on her sandwich year industrial placement.
Miss Black attended a special awards ceremony held as part of Graduation Day in September to receive her award, kindly presented by Mr Ronald Jones.
