CHELTENHAM GOLD FOR GEMMA

A MOCK COURT CASE has helped a Gloucestershire girl to win a prestigious poultry industry prize.

Gemma Mustoe, 23, of Turkdean, Northleach, in Cheltenham, has been awarded the 2002 Taylor McNally Foundation Award for the best presented poultry orientated assignment and project.

Miss Mustoe, a graduate of the BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Animal Science degree course at Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, won the award for her final-year poultry related studies, including the production of a portfolio of work to support a role play as a solicitor in a mock court case.

The Taylor McNally Foundation Award is an annually presented prize. Announcing the winner this year, the judges said: "Gemma produced excellent work in her final year. She applied herself well throughout the poultry module and showed insight in to the industry and the important issues that affect the industry."
