    LOCAL PRODUCE ON BREAKFAST MENU

    Posted 16 January 2003

SHROPSHIRE STUDENTS WILL be sitting down to a hearty breakfast next week, specially prepared for them from the finest Midlands ingredients.

Harper Adams University College, Newport, is supporting British Breakfast Day on Wednesday, January 22, with a veritable feast of carefully selected, local and regional produce.

Included on the mouth-watering menu will be: Apple Juice, from Glebe Farm in Ledbury; Sausage and Bacon, from Buttercross Farm Foods, Market Drayton; Staffordshire Oatcakes, from the Cheadle Oatcake Shop; Fried Potatoes, made with spuds from Tan House Farm in Wolverhampton; Bread products, from the Gainspark Bakery in Shrewsbury, and Harper Adams’ very own Eggs.

This breakfast bonanza will be served to resident students, who enjoy fully catered accommodation during the week, instead of their usual fare. Staff will also be invited to tuck in and for a modest sum will be able to celebrate British Breakfast Day, in style, any time between 7:30am and 1:30pm.

    Tuck in!
