LAST MINUTE VACANCIES AVAILABLE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, MARKETING & RETAIL

    Posted 5 August 2003

IF YOU’VE BEEN THINKING about taking on a Business Studies or Retail course with a difference when you join University, then Harper Adams University College may be the place for you.

Shropshire’s University College has a superb single-site campus creating a close-knit community with its own bars, sports facilities, swimming pool and gym.

With student’s costs of living, away from home, on the increase it is well worth considering that by studying at your local university, you can choose whether to live at home, travelling into the campus on a daily basis or to live on-campus in a Hall of Residence.

Either way, you will make new friends in a friendly environment where people know who you are and take a genuine interest in you. Nobody at Harper Adams is ‘just a number.’

Amongst the courses available at both Degree and HND level are Business Management, Marketing and a new course in Retail Management that has excellent job prospects within what is an increasingly global market. All of Harper Adams’ Business courses are underpinned by the excellent IT facilities available on site.

In addition, if you are aged over 17 but don’t have the qualifications for immediate entry into a degree course, you could join the University Access Course – a one-year fast track course that could give you direct admission on to any Harper Adams course or on to another institution.

Harper Adams’ proven track record in producing highly employable graduates is based upon a philosophy of combining experience with education. All Business and Retail Management courses are four-year sandwich courses, including an entire year spent on paid work placement

These placements are arranged to suit the career aspirations of each individual graduate and can be taken at home or abroad. In the past, graduates have worked their placements in countries across Europe and in the United States of America.

The placement allows students to apply what they have learnt to a real world situation, develop a better understanding of the practical demands of modern business and return to their studies with a different outlook. In these days of rising student debt, it also offers individuals an opportunity to redress the balance and even build up some savings.

For a fresh perspective on studying for a Business Degree, contact the Admissions department at Harper Adams University College on 01 952 815 000 or E-mail: admissions@harper-adams.ac.uk and ask for a prospectus. Alternatively, log on to: www.harper-adams.ac.uk
