A DEDICATED WEB SITE drawing together information on projects handled by the Centre for Rural Innovation is to be launched early in September.Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, will have the Centre for Rural Innovation’s new web site up and running ahead of the official launch of the initiative, which is scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2003.
The site, at www.cfri.co.uk will provide visitors from around the world with easy access to information on the wide range of research and commercial work being undertaken at the Centre, showing how this work links in with national and regional policy objectives.
The intention of the Centre for Rural Innovation is to address the difficulty businesses face ‘in trying to access the right people within an institution or to find out what research, consultancy or other business support work was available’ as identified by the preliminary findings of the Lambert Review of Business – University Collaboration.
The new web site will complement that objective, allowing visitors to easily navigate through the featured projects – more than 50 of which, both new and ongoing, will be covered by the Centre for Rural Innovation upon its launch – and obtain contact information to put them directly in touch with individual project managers.
