    WELSH WINNER FOR MEMORIAL AWARD

    THE 2003 WINNER of the Philip Oldcorn Memorial Award has just begun a BSc (Hons) Countryside Management degree at Harper Adams University College.

    Ffion Heledd Parry, 19, from Ruthin, Denbighshire, in Wales, is one of almost 500 students starting Degree and HND courses at the University College in Shropshire, this autumn.

    Miss Parry has progressed to her new course after completing the University Access Course at Harper Adams in 2002/03. The Philip Oldcorn Memorial Award has been presented to her in recognition of her contributions to the University Access Course.

    Course Manger Nicky Hunter said: “Heledd was one of the student representatives on the course and has been excellent at promoting the course and supporting other students throughout the year.”

    In addition to her work for the University Access Course, Miss Parry is also the secretary for Harper Cymry, the association for Welsh students at Harper Adams.
