AN INAUGURAL AWARD for young entrepreneurs was presented to a student from Harper Adams University College last month.Rebecca Masters, 19, from Ruthin, Denbighshire, recently started her second year on the BA (Hons) Business Management & Marketing degree at Shropshire’s University College.
She was presented with the Ricoh Entrepreneurial Award – a new award for 2003 that has been generously sponsored by Ricoh UK Products Ltd of Telford, Shropshire. Company representative Christine Petrovic attended a special ceremony on Friday, September 19, 2003 to make the presentation.
After achieving the highest grade in her first year, Rebecca demonstrated an appreciation of entrepreneurship and a positive attitude towards business development in the UK. Judges said Rebecca also received the award in recognition of her contribution to class and group activities.
Ricoh supports education through business and is said to be pleased to be associated with Harper Adams.
