THE 2003 WREKIN FARMERS Challenge Cup has been awarded to a Harper Adams’ graduate from Market Drayton.Jonathan Nixon, 22, from Adderley, in Market Drayton, graduated from Harper Adams University College, near Newport, last month with a First Class BSc (Hons) Agri-food Marketing and Business Studies degree.
He was awarded this year’s Wrekin Farmers Challenge Cup as author of the Best Honours Degree Marketing Dissertation. His submission was entitled: “Retailer diversification: factors influencing the patronage of different retail formats.”
Chris Taylor, a representative of Wrekin Farmers, presented Jonathan’s trophy to him during Harper Adams’ Graduation Day celebrations on Friday, September 19, 2003.
Mr Nixon is now working as a Graduate Management Trainee with Robert Wiseman Dairies, where he will spend the first 12 months dividing his time between the distribution and production aspects of the work, and in an area of his choice.
