WELSH WINNER FOR CENTENARY PRIZE

THE SECOND ANNUAL CENTENARY Prize, awarded by Harper Adams University College, has gone to a Welsh winner in 2003.

Craig Thomas, 22, from Cardigan, in Ceredigion, has won the Shropshire University College’s second Centenary Prize. The award is made each year to the HND Agri-food Marketing & Business Studies student who graduates with the best overall performance.

Craig’s performance during his course was given an overall Merit grade and judges particularly commended him upon his dissertation, entitled ‘A comparison of the milk industry in the UK, France and the USA.’

Craig received his award from the Principal’s representative, Mr Basil Bayne at a special ceremony on Friday, September 19, 2003. The award presentation was made as part of Harper Adams’ Graduation Day events.

Craig has now returned to Harper Adams to ‘top-up’ his HND to a BSc (Hons) Agri-food Marketing & Business Studies degree.
