Budding engineers are being invited to get their careers on track by attending an open day at Harper Adams University College. The one-day event will give students considering a career in engineering the opportunity to meet leading industry chiefs, enjoy a range of workshops and get some hands-on experience.
The Engineering Open Day will take place on May 14, at Harper Adams campus in Newport, Shropshire, which is renowned for the quality of its engineering courses, facilities and equipment.
Students will learn about the exciting careers available in engineering, what courses are available at Harper Adams and how to complete application forms and explore funding, as well as taking a look around the campus and getting a taste of student life. There will also be practical session and demonstrations of engineering design, the science of engineering, and agricultural and off-road vehicle systems.
Representatives from industry giants such as JCB and Caterpillar, John Deere and CNH, GKN and Alvis will be on hand with practical advice and career information. Staff and students will also be available to discuss courses and careers.
