Carmarthenshire Student Wins John Deere Trophy

David Meredith Morris, of St Clears, Carmarthenshire, has been awarded the JOHN DEERE TROPHY 2004. This award is for the top student in the final year of the HND Agricultural Engineering course at Harper Adams University College, Shropshire.Course manager, Mr William Rowley, said: “Meredith has worked extremely hard throughout the course and has been reward by gaining the highest average mark for any engineering HND student. He gained a distinction grade in his individual project and also in ‘’Mechanical Science’.”
Since collecting his award at the university college’s annual graduation ceremony, where he also collected his HND certificate, Meredith has returned to Harper Adams to top-up to a degree course.
