Welsh Student Awarded Countryside Prize

Elizabeth Kate Roberts, of Llay, Wrexham, has been presented with a prize in recognition of excellence. Elizabeth, an HND Countryside & Environment Excellent Achievement Award for the best performance by an HND Countryside and Environment student. Elizabeth, known as Kate, produced a dissertation entitled ‘An investigation into the management of farmland ponds and their conservation value’.Kate, a former student of Yale College, Wrexham, is originally from Wrexham but now living in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, and looking for work in the countryside management sector.
She was presented with the prize at the University College’s annual graduation ceremony last month, at which she also collected her Harper Adams Higher Diploma with Merit and the Higher National Diploma in Countryside Management.
