Harper Adams boosts local rugby club

Posted 1 March 2005

Harper Adams University College, Newport, well known for its excellence in rugby, has donated £100 to young rugby players in the Telford area.

Rose Steele, representing the University College’s amateur dramatics society, SCRAP (The Society for Charity Revues and Pantomimes) presented a cheque to Telford Raiders Rugby League Club.

Raiders Secretary, Janet Berry, said: We are very grateful for this donation which will buy much needed tag rugby equipment. This will allow us to give many more local boys and girls the opportunity to play this very enjoyable non-contact version of rugby.”
