    Macmillan Charity Donation

    Posted 18 March 2005

Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, has donated more than £500 to Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Staff at the Newport university college handed over a cheque for £540 to Ian Musty of Macmillan Cancer relief, after taking part in several fundraising events at Christmas, including book clubs, raffles, bingo and selling Christmas cards.

Harper Adams has been raising money annually for the cancer charity for more than 10 years. Ian Musty said: I would like to thank the staff and students at Harper Adams who once again have been so generous in their support for our Shropshire appeal. The University College has always been a huge supporter of our charity and it’s wonderful to receive their continuing support.

Michelle Pryce, Domestic Services Manager, who organised the fundraisers added: "We greatly admire the hard work, compassion and care Macmillan nurses give to people and their families.”
