New courses at Harper Adams
Posted 13 April 2005
Harper Adams University College has further expanded its range of Higher Education courses. The Newport-based HE college has introduced a range of brand new courses to begin in September 2006, including a degree specialising in green energy’.
The qualifications on offer include leisure, tourism and food-based degrees, aimed at getting graduates into the rapidly expanding food and leisure industries.
Claire Robertson-Bennett, Harper Adams spokeswoman, said: “We are really excited about the new courses on offer and, judging from the feedback we have already received, so are prospective students.
“At an increasing rate we are becoming aware that our natural resources are being exploited at the expense of future generations, and so we have been exploring sustainable energy solutions. Harper Adams is already developing alternative power sources for use on campus, such as biomass, wind power, anaerobic digestion and bio-fuels, and the next natural step was to introduce a degree in Sustainable Resource Management.”
She added: “We also have three new food-based courses, degrees in Adventure Recreation and Outdoor Activities, and have added to our popular animal-related courses.”
