STAFF and students at Harper Adams University College have been battling it out on the hockey pitch.
Two student teams and one staff team went head to head last week as part of an annual tournament which sees an afternoon of sportsmanship at the Newport-based university college.
The first and second year Rural Enterprise and Land Management (REALM) students both beat the staff team 2-0 and 3-0 respectively while the first years were crowned the overall winners.
And the staff are set to meet the university college’s Harper Lions next week in a bid to redeem themselves.
Simon Keeble, REALM lecturer and organiser of the event said it has become an annual tradition.
“It is great to get all the years of Realm ,which is an RICS rural property and surveying course, together with staff, have a game of hockey and a social.
“We look forward to the rematch next year. The weather was absolutely fabulous which help make the evening so enjoyable.”
The next hockey match between staff and students will be played at Harper Adams on May 17th.
