International face of Harper Adams
Posted 10 November 2006
Harper Adams University College has launched an exciting scheme with an international university.
Under the arrangement, students from China study the first two years of undergraduate programmes at Beijing University of Agriculture before joining Harper Adams for their final year of study.
The first group of 45 students from the joint programmes with Beijing University of Agriculture arrived at Harper Adams three weeks ago. They are joined by a small number of postgraduate students from China and eight members of staff from both Beijing University of Agriculture and the Jiangsu Animal Husbandry and Veterinary College who are undertaking training programmes.
The students, who are all living on the Harper Adams campus within self-catering accommodation, will remain at the university college until graduation in September 2007.
Professor Wynne Jones, Principal of Harper Adams University College, commented on the partnership.
“This is an exciting development for Harper Adams University College. We are pleased to welcome students from the Beijing University of Agriculture and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship between our institutions.”
