Harper Heads to Balmoral

Harper Adams University College's Marketing Officer, Sarah Parker, will be attending the Balmoral Show, Belfast’s premier agricultural event on Wednesday 16th to Friday 18th May.

She will be kicking off the Show Season at Balmoral at our usual pitch – STAND F1 and will be more than happy to welcome and talk to prospective students and their parents, past and present Harper students and partners and associates within the land, food and rural based industries.

Current and former students, Harper Ireland and Harper in Ireland members, and University staff will be available throughout the show to answer questions, give advice and talk of their own experiences. One of those who will be in attendance is first year Jane Oliver from Limavady, Co. Londonderry who is studying BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Animal Science.  
The University College Principal and President of Harper Ireland, Professor Wynne Jones, will be at the show and on the Harper Adams stand on 17th May where the new prospectus will be on show and a variety of new courses will be launched.

Harper Adams has high regard for the Irish students who attend and have attended the University College. One of the most popular and active associations within the organisation is Harper Ireland. 

Louis Mcauley, Chairman of Harper Ireland says “Our aim is to provide a link to prospective students long before their first day of their studies, to give them a feel for the excellent spirit among Irish students at Harper. Our members find that our club is most valuable for the way it helps Irish students to get used to living so far from home by organising trips and activities at weekends. We hope to show prospective students that making the decision to study across the water at Harper is a worthwhile and rewarding experience.  As well as providing this service, being an Irish student at Harper creates a fantastic social group where you make life-long friends and have great fun!”

Sarah will also be airing the new trailor at various regional and national shows throughout the summer. She'll be more than happy to welcome you on to the stand!
