Liz Falkingham, a former first-class honours graduate from Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, is returning as the Guest of Honour to the prestigious Graduation Ceremony on Friday 21st September. Liz, who is from near Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, will be joined by the Chair of the Board of Governors and the Principal in leading the Graduation Procession. Liz, as guest speaker, will address over 500 students who will have received degree, foundation degree, MSc and PhD certificates at the ceremony.
Liz, who studied Agriculture with Animal Science, graduated from Harper Adams University College in 1995 and joined Farmers Guardian in September of the same year as a Junior Reporter. She then moved from Reporter to Features Writer and then Features Editor before taking the Editor’s chair in September 2003.
The Principal, Professor Wynne Jones said “I am very pleased to invite Liz back to Harper Adams as Guest of Honour and Speaker at this year’s Graduation Ceremony. As a former student and a successful leader in her industry Liz will be highly inspirational to our students who have a bright future ahead of them.”
