Harper Adams University College will be wide open to prospective students and parents on Sunday 14th October from 9.30am to 3.30pm. This will provide a great opportunity to see the developments at the UK's premier provider of higher education for business, food, rural and land-based studies that has recently been named as the Sunday Times University College of the Year.

The October Open Day is mainly aimed at students, and their families, who are considering making a UCAS application for admission in 2008. It is an ideal opportunity to visit the campus and view the facilities and find out more about the courses on offer. Students and staff are on hand to discuss all aspects of university life, including course content, advice on financial matters, learning support and the advice on applying through UCAS. You can also meet current who will show you around teaching areas, support facilities, the College Farm, accommodation and social facilities. The Student Ambassadors or ‘Blue Shirts’ will be on hand to show you around the site and answer many of your questions.

The Principal, Professor Wynne Jones said “It is a great opportunity to come along and chat to current students and staff who can give first hand information about the wide range of courses and give practical advice on issues on course content, the application process, finance and employment opportunities. It is equally important to find the right place, where you can feel at home and are able to study and work most effectively, so we encourage you to take full advantage and find out more about accommodation and facilities as well the social aspects of the University College.”

Harper Adams has expanded its range of degree and Foundation Degree (or HND) courses in recent years. In addition to the ever popular agriculture courses there is a great choice of degree courses in the broad areas of: Engineering, Business Marketing and Management, Food related subjects, Land/Estate Management; Leisure/Tourism/ Adventure Recreation; Countryside Management; Animal related courses such as veterinary nursing.
