Harper Adams Estates and Facilities Manager Paul Moran is set to chair a Credit Crunch event arranged by the Energy Services and Technology Association.
Mr Moran will also be giving a presentation at the free West Midlands event, on April 23, 2009, one of five such conferences running throughout the UK.
The Harper Adams Estates team has initiated and overseen many green developments across the campus, from a biomass combined heat and power unit to increased recycling.
Mr Moran will be speaking to West Midlands delegates about methods he has employed to overcome capital expenditure constraints and plans for the future, plus energy reduction projects carried out to achieve the University’s aim to be self sufficient for energy supplies.
ESTA says: “The Credit Crunch is all about things you can't do; things you can't afford; things you want to achieve but can't. So let’s be positive and deal with things you can do.”
The event is aimed at all those in planning, design, construction, site management, operations, maintenance, finance and procurement who have responsibility for energy use or are budget holders for energy use or responsible for their organisation’s commitment or reporting to environmental targets.
