    Free breakfasts for cyclists

It’s National Bike Week, and to mark the occasion all Harper Adams staff and students who cycled in to the University College today were served a free breakfast.

Pictured tucking in to a hearty meal after their ride to work are staff members Gaynor Orton, Karen Hughes and Pam Whitehouse.

Gaynor also ran two bike trails starting and finishing at the college on Tuesday, to encourage people to get into the cycling habit and explore the college campus and its beautiful surroundings.

As an environmentally friendly institution, Harper Adams encourages cycling all year round, with a free bike hire scheme for students and a Cycle to Work scheme for staff, which allows them to buy tax-free bikes through the Government’s Green Travel Plan.

National Bike Week falls during Telford & Wrekin’s Bike Month, which was publicised to staff, students and campus visitors.
