Alice Gibson, BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Animal Science student, has received the Jerman Scholarship at Harper Adams University.
Alice, 22, from Tewkesbury, Gloucester, said: “I feel honoured to be receiving this scholarship in memory of the late Mr and Mrs Jerman.
“I’ve come from a non-farming background, and this scholarship will further provide me with the opportunity to become a part of the beef industry.
“Mr and Mrs Jerman were great role models with helping young entrants succeed in the farming industry.
“During my time at Harper, I qualified at national level to represent Harper Adams Equestrian team in 2016, and I then took on the role of captain for the equestrian first team during my final year.
“After graduating from Harper, my ambition is to manage a beef unit by the time I’m 25.
“I’m extremely grateful for the Jerman Scholarship as it’ll help aid me with my career progression.”
