Carrie de Silva, Principal Lecturer in Land Management and lecturer in Law and Taxation, will be giving a talk at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Library on Thursday 11th July at 13:00.
Carrie will be speaking about Irene Barclay, the first woman to qualify as a chartered surveyor. This is as part of a series marking the centenary of the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act 1919.
There is currently a public exhibition at the library to mark the centenary, running until 8th September.
