Harper Alumnus Will named New Zealand Dairy Industry Share Farmer of the Year

Harper Adams alumnus Will Green has been named New Zealand Dairy Industry Share Farmer of the Year 2022 – following his earlier success in the Canterbury/ North Otago awards.

BSc (Hons) Agriculture graduate Will wins not only the national title, but also $50,000 in prizes.

Having first visited New Zealand for his placement year at the University, Will discovered a love of the country which has now seen him win regional titles twice – and now this year’s national title.

Judges for the 2022 Dairy Industry awards praised Will for his rounded approach to his business, from finance through to people management and team development.

They said: “Will’s brain is working 24/7, he reaches far and wide for learning and advice and he’s very strategic. He knows where he’s going and he’s determined to get there.”
