Harper Adams student Eleanor Gilbert has been talking with Farmers Weekly about this year’s harvest at her family farm near Newbury.
BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Crop Management student Eleanor talks about how she is combining her placement year work at Bartholomew’s Agrifood, in Chichester.
She is currently combining her 12-hour shifts with regular sessions working to bring in the harvest at home.
Eleanor also talks about how important it is to promote British agriculture - something she does as through social media as Berkshire Farm Girl, in print, and even on television.
With more than 4,000 Twitter followers and 2,200 Instagram followers, she regularly shares updates from her farm – and from her studies at Harper Adams!
