Animal Health student Millie Van Der Wal has written about her first six months on placement with animal feeds company ABN as a Harper Adams scholar.
Writing for her employer on their website, Millie explains that she first spent time working on a large-scale pig farm. “I had no prior experience in the pig industry, so this was a steep learning curve, but it gave me invaluable practical knowledge. I now have a much greater appreciation for the work that goes into running a high-performing farm.”
Millie then moved into customer support, developing valuable communication skills.
