Hamper on offer at Farmers Market: THIS SUNDAY
Posted 2 September 2011
This lovely hamper is being raffled on Sunday at Harper Adams to raise money for Farms for City Children.
The hamper, featuring local goodies from Wroxeter Vineyard, Woods Brewery, Mohorall Farm (cider), Shropshire Honey, Honesty Cakes, Image on Food, Moyden’s Cheese, Harper Adams farm, Shropshire Fine Herbs, Heather’s Harvest, Pimhill (muesli) and Just Crisps, will be presented to the lucky ticket holder at the Harvest Farmers’ Market.
The market runs from 10am to 2pm at the Regional Food Academy, on the Harper Adams campus in Edgmond, near Newport (TF10 8NB).
Farms for City Children will also be supported by a stall selling fruit and vegetables grown at home by Harper Adams staff and their friends and family. Further donations for this stall will be welcome on the day.
Entertainment will be provided by a jazz band in the morning and a blues band in the afternoon.
Other highlights will include Titus Alpacas, selling alpaca wool products while letting customers meet real alpacas; Fudge Heaven, Sweet Temptation, local honey, a range of hand-made crafts and a jazz band providing tunes to shop to. There will also be a chance to learn more about Harper Adams on tractor and trailer tours of the campus.
