Teddy Searight from Sheffield University Environmental and International Development department gave an informative talk to final year students at Harper Adams University on Tuesday.
Teddy presented a seminar on Tenure Security and Land Use in the Global South to students taking the International Rural Property Management option, who are studying BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management (REALM) - a RICS (Royal Institution Chartered Surveyors) rural-accredited course.
REALM Course Manager, Simon Keeble, said: “He categorised the tenure systems, highlighting key areas of statutory formal and customary informal tenure as well as a land use model of tenure security, land markets and investment, coupled with case studies in Vietnam, Mozambique and Paraguay.
“We have asked Teddy to repeat this talk in November, which will be of benefit to our next cohort of students studying this option.”
