Reaching the final stage again in this category is a significant achievement that shows that we are recognised as being amongst the best universities in the UK."

Harper Adams University has been shortlisted for a further three national awards, recognising outstanding leadership and management.

The university is in the final six for the Outstanding Marketing and Communications Team, Outstanding International Strategy and Outstanding Leadership and Management team accolades at the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards (THELMAs) 2015.

Vice Chancellor Dr David Llewellyn said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted in three categories of these prestigious national awards.

“Our work in Marketing and Communications not only involves promoting the university, but also a wide range of subject-based activities with schools and colleges, whilst the shortlisting for International Strategy underlines our high quality teaching and research with a number of international university and industry partners.

“The top award of the night is for Outstanding Leadership and Management Team, a category in which we have now been shortlisted for four years out of the last five.  Reaching the final stage again in this category is a significant achievement that shows that we are recognised as being amongst the best universities in the UK."

Previous successes for Harper Adams in the THELMAs include winning the Outstanding Fundraising Team Award in 2014 and Outstanding Estates Team in 2012. The university has also been shortlisted previously for International Strategy and twice for its Student Admissions Team, in addition to the four shortlistings for the overall Leadership and Management Team award.

The 2015 winners will be announced on Thursday 18 June at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Meanwhile, Harper Adams will find out on April 23 if it has been successful in the WhatUni Student Choice Awards, after being chosen as a finalist in seven out of nine categories, including University of the Year.
