Becca receives the award from Steve Jarrett, of Wynnstay

Becca Colman, 24, from King's Lynn, Norfolk, won the Wynnstay Beef Award when she graduated from Harper Adams University at the end of September, with an honours degree in agriculture with animal science. The award is presented annually to the final year student who produces the best beef project or dissertation. Becca’s honours research project was “An evaluation of quarternary benzophenanthridine and protopine alkaloids on the performance of artificially reared dairy-bred beef calves to 12 weeks.” Becca comes from a Norfolk farming family and was awarded a first for her thesis. She had returned to work at Norfolk Farm Vets, where she completed her placement year.
