Successful spring open day

Harper Adams University College welcomed hundreds of visitors to its successful spring Open Day on May 10.

   Prospective students and their parents, former students and members of the local community were keen to see the developments at the UK's premier provider of higher education for rural and land-based subjects.

   Across the campus, lecturers and support staff shared information about the courses on offer and facilities available and current student ambassadors gave campus tours, supplemented by tractor and trailer tours of the College Farm.

   Harper Adams has expanded its range of degree and foundation degree courses in recent years. In addition to the ever-popular agriculture courses there is a great choice of degree courses in the broad areas of: engineering, business marketing and management, food related subjects, land/estate Management; leisure/tourism/ adventure Recreation; countryside management and animal related courses such as veterinary nursing.

   Prospective students who missed the open day or wish to visit the campus again might be interested in the HEC event at Harper Adams on July 7 and 8. Higher Education Choices is a two-day residential taster course, offering great advice on courses for rural, animal and land-based careers, the chance to take lectures and seminars, have a party, make some new friends and discover a whole new world of opportunities.
