COVID Diaries: Catering champions continue cooking!

    6 April 2020

While face-to-face teaching ceased on campus from March 20, students were welcome to return home before then, staying in their own homes to save lives. However, for some students, going home was not so simple. Still in need of campus facilities, Student Services has worked to support these students to social distance without feeling isolated and continue on with their degree work while living in halls.

However, there are other vital members of staff working hard to keep the university's students safe and well during these difficult times. The Catering department, headed up by David Nuttall, have not only been feeding essential staff and students, but working to abide by Government guidelines for social distancing. See below the work of the team via social media:

Whether picking up your food or having it delivered, we ask everyone using the campus facilities to please take the recommended steps to look after your health and that of others. Please follow Public Health England's advice if you are concerned that you may have been exposed to the virus and/or are feeling unwell and have the symptoms.

For further information, please see our guidance page with relevant updates for staff, students, visitors and applicants.
