HAU PhD students visit UK's main fruit technical event

    18 July 2022

Jie Xiang and Misbah Sehar, crop physiology PhD students in the Agriculture and Environment Department, recently visited the Fruit Focus event held at the UK's leading fruit research institute, NIAB East Malling in Kent.

Their visit included a guided tour of robotically-monitored strawberry and raspberry experiments (see photo).

Jie and Misbah attended several talks including precision spraying and biostimulants. They later discussed their research with one of the speakers, Laura Bishop, who graduated in 2015 from HAU and is now a Marketing Applications Specialist with the crop biostimulant company Plant Impact.
