A student from Harper Adams University College has been mentoring a group of teenagers as part of a national Aimhigher scheme.
The Aimhigher Associates programme promotes the progression from state schools to the full range of Higher Education options on offer by providing school and college pupils with long-term support from university students.
This is a new strand of Aimhigher and one of a number of targeted activities that Aimhigher partnerships use to raise awareness, aspirations and attainment amongst young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
Harper Adams student, Laura O'Connor, has been working with a group of teenagers from Burton Borough School in Newport. She explains what it means to be an Associate.
The inaugural UK Universities Week (June 14 to 20) has brought together more than 100 universities and related organisations to highlight the essential role that universities play in sustaining our society, culture and economy.
Today the campaign is promoting Teaching and Learning.
