Clearing places available at Harper Adams

Harper Adams University today announced it has a limited number of places available through Clearing for well-qualified students.

Recruitment for the university has been strong this year, with only a select number of spaces available through the Clearing process across the range of courses, with the exception of Veterinary Nursing.

Harper Adams, which gained full university status last year, is the UK’s leading provider of agriculture and land-based higher education, with a graduate employment rate of 96.0 per cent and National Student Survey result in the top 20 universities in the UK.

Clearing, which represents another opportunity for those who have under or over-achieved, have not previously applied or wish to change their course or university, began the moment A-level results were released this morning (THURS).

Dr David Llewellyn, Vice-Chancellor of Harper Adams, said: “We opened the phone lines at 8am today(THURS) and staff are on-hand to help and advise students interested in applying to us through Clearing.

“We encourage anyone who is well-qualified and interested in coming to Harper Adams this September to ring us as soon as they receive their results so that we can discuss options with them.”

The Harper Adams Admission Team will only be able to consider an applicant if they meet or exceed the entry requirements as published at www.ucas.com and on course webpages.

To help students in making a choice, the university is running a Clearing Open Day on Monday August 19, from 11am to 3pm, for students applying through Clearing for September 2013 entry only.

The open day is a chance to view the campus and talk to course team members, as well as discuss accommodation, career and placement opportunities and learner support services with staff.
