    Graduation 2015 prize-giving: British Society for Soil Science Postgraduate Award

    Nichola Taylor receives the British Society for Soil Science Postgraduate Award from Dr William Hartley

    Upon graduating from Harper Adams University at the end of September, postgraduate student Nichola Taylor, from Groeslon, Caernarfon, was awarded the British Society for Soil Science (Postgraduate) prize. Nicola graduated with a Masters degree in Soil and Water Management and received the prize for submitting the best postgraduate final year dissertation on a soils-related topic. 

    Lecturer Dr William Hartley, who presented the award, said: “Nichola’s research project was on ‘Phosphorus sources and sink in agricultural soils as evaluated by sequential extraction and leaching tests’.  This is an important topic and the project contained a detailed review of pertinent and relevant to the investigation and was awarded a Merit overall.”
