The engineering department, and indeed the university, are delighted with our performance in The Guardian University ranking for 2020.
Harper Adams University has risen 21 places up to 8th in the country for Mechanical Engineering in the Guardian University Guide 2020.
Parmjit Chima, Head of the Engineering Department said: “The engineering department, and indeed the university, are delighted with our performance in The Guardian University ranking for 2020. To have climbed 21 places to 8th in the UK is a reward for all the hard work, commitment and dedication of staff to teaching excellence in engineering.
“The department ethos is to work closely with employers and students’ to ensure they are equipped with the right academic rigour, technical knowledge and communications skills to make them industry-ready from the start of their career.”
The University has made significant strides in recent years and is currently ranked 6th in the Guardian University guide for Agriculture, Forestry & Food, climbing from 11th in 2018.
The news comes just months after jumping 21 places up the latest release of the Complete University Guide’s national league table, climbing from 84th to 27th over a five year period, making it the highest ranked Specialist University in the country and the third highest ranked university in the West Midlands.
