Caroline Evans, of Newport, has been awarded a prize in recognition of excellent work during her degree studies. Caroline, a student at Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, has received the newly created Degree Countryside & Environment Excellent Achievement Award for the best performance by a BSc/BSc (Honours) Countryside and Environment student.Caroline’s dissertation was entitled “An investigation into the impact of human activity on Wood Brook in Staffordshire”. A former pupil of Moreton Hall, Oswestry, Caroline, 22, is currently working for English Nature's North Mercia Team based at Attingham Park, Shrewsbury. The post involves practical conservation work on National Nature Reserves in Shropshire and Cheshire, including Aqualate Mere. Caroline is also undertaking an access and interpretation project.
Caroline was presented with the prize during the University College’s annual graduation ceremony last month, at which she also collected an Upper Second Class Honours Degree in Countryside and Environment Management.
