The David Lawson Scholarship, valued at £1,000, is open to all 2nd Year BSc, Final Year BSc or Final Year FdSc students enrolled in full-time education at the University who are studying Engineering. Preference will be given to those students studying Agricultural Engineering who are able to demonstrate a passion for applying the knowledge they have acquired at Harper Adams to a future career in this sector. This opportunity for aspiring agricultural engineers was launched last year by Dr Alistair Lawson in memory of his father.
Dr Lawson said: “"My father had a passion and affinity for all things mechanical. The David Lawson Scholarship will be awarded to those who share this passion, who avidly read Tractor & Machinery magazine and who count their Snap On tools among their most precious possessions”.
