Kelly graduated from Harper Adams University with a first class honours BSc Animal Science degree and has secured a job at AB Nutrition as a key account manager.

Kelly described her placement experience and told us how she’s finding working for ABN:

How would you sum up your experience with the placement?

“The fact that this is a split placement really appealed to me and was the main reason why I chose to apply. I gained first-hand experience with pig farm operations as well as invaluable technical knowledge. To have the opportunity to apply what I learnt on the farm in a commercial setting was priceless.”

What does the future hold for you now?

“The pig industry is fast moving and progressive, it is constantly changing therefore challenges are continually arising. I enjoy problem solving and learning new things, so to be offered a job with a national pig feed company is very exciting and I look forward to what the future holds. The placement gave me a good understanding of what career path I wanted to go down when I graduated and I was fortunate to be given the opportunity.”

During your time you will be assigned objectives to help you build your pig industry knowledge and key business competencies. You will receive nutritional training and valuable exposure to the pig industry.
