Samantha Glew, 22, from Carlton, Nottingham, won the Axworthy Cup and Robin Faccenda Prize when she graduated from Harper Adams University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Bio-veterinary Science. This award is made annually to the student who has obtained top marks in practical and written work during placement year in the poultry industry. Samantha, who completed her placement at Aviagen having achieved 88 per cent overall, received the award from Andrew Brodie, HR and Communications Director at Faccenda Foods. Samantha, who worked at a rare breeds farm in Shropshire alongside her studies, initially returned to Aviagen as a management trainee and is now a Pedigree Production Manager.
